SECRET SESSION TO-MORROW
. ADJOURNMENT ON ACCOUNT DECEASED MEMBERS (Special.) WELLINGTON, June 10. The House of Representatives intends adjourning after this afternoon’s sitting till to-morrow as a mark of respect to deceased members, including one. (Captain, Lyon) who died on active service. The secret session is therefore postponed till Wednesday. Government members in caucus today stood in silence as a mark of respect to the late Captain Lyon, and adopted a resolution of condolence with his widow and children.
Messages of greeting are to be cabled to Messrs Hultquist and Skinner, members of the party on active service; also to the Prime Minister.
