Mr H. W. Wilson presided at the monthly meeting of the Taieri River Trust, held at Mosgiel yesterday. * Mr G. T. Edgar, Dunedin city electrical engineer, advised that the repairs to the Henley pumping plant had been completed. The Rivers Control Committee, Wellington, wrote about proposals for river pon-
trol, flooding, and general soil erosion.— The matter ivas left in the hands of the chairman and the clerk. Mr F. Johnson was appointed as a member of the Works Committee. Accounts amounting to £621 6s 4d were passed for payment. The tender of the Bryant Transport Company Ltd., at 2s 9d per yard, was accepted for the cartage of gravel from the Berwick dump to the pump house at Henley,
