CAPPING PROCESSION WEDNESDAY

Capping is here—but it’ has a new significance. In the past decade the motif of the capping carnival has materially changed. The carnival still entertains, but from being merely an occasion for revelry it has come to play an important part in the affairs of local charities. For several years the money collected by the students was given to the Crippled Children Society. Last year nearly £SOO was collected for tho Patriotic Fund. Now the students have another opportunity to further tho war effort. They have grasped ■it avidly. Tho public will doubtless give liberally to help our forces.
