VARSITY B AND TAIERI DRAW. In a vigorous, and, at times bright game, Taierr'and Varsity B fought to a draw, 6 . ’all, on the University Oval. The game might have gone to the plainsmen had they shown a little more polish, but as it was they had the Blues defending stubbornly , for a large part of each spell. H. Thompson and Langham scored tries for Varsity, and Sizemore scored a try for Taieri, lor whom M’Leod kicked a penalty goal. Mr J. K. Caradus was the referee. DUNEDIN WINS FAST GAME. • Dunedin defeated Kaikorai by 12 points to'9 after a bright game at Bishopscourt. The forwards were well matched, and the backs were not afraid to open up the play, though good covering work in defence frustrated a number -of combined efforts. There were pome fine individual efforts. Lowe and Davidson registered tries for Dunedin which were not, converted, and Manioii kicked two penalty goals. For Kaikorai, Austin (2) and Duncan scored tries. Mr J. Frood was the referee. SOUTHERN BEATS UNION.
