TAIERI POULTRY SOCIETY

MONTHLY MEETING Mr J. Friend (president) was in. the chair at the monthly meeting of the Taieri Poultry Society. There was a good attendance of members. The collectors reported that a good response, had met their canvass of the district, and prospects were bright for the coming show. . The following judges were appointed:— Utility poultry, Mr C. Bartley; game and bantams, Mr R. W. Brown; .budgerigars and finches, Mr Lethaby; canaries. Mr, 6. H. Baker; fanev pigeons, Mr Bain; homing pigeons, Mr'M. Anderson; produce, Mr John Williamson; sewing and knitting, Mrs Kirkland and Miss M’Pherson; honey, Mr Robertson (Government apiary instructor). The Secretary, South Island Dairy Association returned the proofs of the schedule and list of judges who had been nominated. Both had been approved of. He also enclosed a copy of the annual report of the association, which was read to the meeting. _ The Schedule Committee was asked to meet on 20th nut. to allot special prizes.
