It is desired that applicants should be between 30 and 40 years of age, that they should also hold a First Class Marine Engineer’s Certificate (Steam), and should have held a position not lower than that of Second Engineer of a steamship or motor ship. The possession of a Motor Certificate in addition to the Steam Certificate will be a recommendation. Details of sea service, including names of vessels and I.H.P. or B;H.P. of engines, also particulars as to education, apprenticeship, certificates, and I experience should be submitted.
