AMNESIA AS PLOT BASIS

The very essence of lightness and brightness in entertainment, ‘ T Love You Again,’ the latest Bowcll-Loy success, is a sophisticated farce of the type which the principals of the 1 Thin Man ’ series have brought to a high degree of perfection.. The talc treats in comic vein the subject of amnesia—medical term for loss of memory—and its effects, both good and otherwise, upon marital relations.

Bill Powell plays what practically amounts to a dual role. In the first reel or so ho is seen as one of the persons everyone instinctively avoids—a bore, full of the importance of his own small doings and unwilling to listen to those of anyone else. Kven his wife was tired of his company. But a hump on the head as the result of falling overboard while returning from a pleasure cruise causes Mr Powell .to revert to his former identity of a confidence man—an entirely different personage. But his wife still remains to bo won over. She is, incidentally, an entire stranger to him, and he finds .his task one entirely to his liking.
