A motor omnibus was travelling along the street when it came abreast of a. hearse. At the same instant a small boy (lashed across the road from the opposite pavement, narrowly escaped the bus, and as nearly as possible got run over by the hearse. But for tho timely aid of a passing pedestrian, who snatched the youngster from under tho hoofs of the horses, all would have been up with him. _ Tho driver of the bus turned to the driver of the hoarse with a look of withering reproof, aitd exclaimed; “Now then, greedy!’’
