The sixth fortnightly period of the National Savings “ Flag Competition shows no change in regard to the leading towns. For Dominion leadership pride of place is shared equally between ,Te Anga, in the Hamilton district, Weber, in the Palmerston North district. and Alfredtou, in the Wellington district, each of which holds the’ splendid record of 100 per cent, success, the number of. National Savings depositors equalling in number the local population. The leading towns in the • following postal districts are: —Auckland, Whitford; Blenheim Ward; Christchurch, Waiau; Dunedin, Gwaka; Gisborne, Te Araroa; Greymouth, Ross; Hamilton, To Anga; Invercargill, Waikaka; Napier, Porangahau; Nelson, Murchison; New Plymouth, Awakino; Oamaru, Kurow; Palmerston North, Weber; Thames, Whakatane; Timaru, Geraldine; Wanganui, Waitatara; Wellington, Alfredton; Westport, Westport. The first stage of the contest is now regarded as completed. For the second stage (of which the first fortnightly period will end on April 23) the nag competition will be restricted to towns with a population of 500 or more.
