Inquirers.—The questions asked by Wairarapa and Patea correspondents concerning Rin Awa and his offspring are answered in the following pedigrees;— Rin Awa, who for years did stud duties in the North Island, was one of the most outstanding sires of his day. A glance at his pedigree gives proof of the fact that he was bred in the purple. Rin Awa was by iWatch Guard —Envy You, by Presto— N.V.Y., who was by Invergorden—Chorus, -by Best Drum—Last Thought. Presta, the sire of Envy You, was by Comcaloug Pride —Yiola. Watch Guard, the sire of Bin Awa, was by the imported dog White Hope —Black Sash, by Invergorden—Hobble Skirt, while White Hope (imp.) was by Suoh-a-Mark—Game Un, by ~ Tara.—Glenvera, by Gallant—Gladiole, Tara being by Lord Tara—The Ludgate, ■'while . Sueh-a-Mark was by Farndon Ferry—Paleolihtio, by Under the Globe—Caprine, Farndon Ferry being by Fiery Furnace— Fair Florence.

The stud matron Sweet Briar whelped several performers to Rin Awa. Alholdone was yet another matron to whelp to Rin Awa. She left Bonza Boy, Black Rin, Hurry On, Magpie, and Midnight Star. Atholdene was also by Mons from the stud dam Silent Wave, by Champion Proof —Comedy Lass.

Sunshine, another stud matron, left All Away, Barnaby Rudge, Mav Day, and Run Away, by Rin Awa. Sunshine was by Mons from the stud matron Dolly Vardcn.
