MR J. ROBERTS RE-ELECTED PRESIDENT [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, April 15. Mr James .Roberts was re-cloctod president of the New Zealand Labour Party for the fourth year in succession at the annual conference to-day. The other contestants for the office were Dr D. G. M'Millan, M.P., and Mr A. S. Richards, M.P. The following divisional area representatives on the National Executive were elected:—North Auckland, Mr C. A. Boswell; Auckland, Air T. P. M'Cready; Hawke’s Bay, Air I), W. Coleman; Waikato, Air (R. Coulter; Taranaki, Mr AV. J. Rogers; AVairarapa, Air G. A. Hansen; Wellington, Mr H. E. Coombs; AVest Coast (5.1.), Air A. H. AT.‘Kano; North Canterbury, Mr John Roberts; South Canterbury, Atr D. Barnes; Otago, Air P. Neilson, M.P.; Southland, Air AV. K. Cameron. The Prime Alinister, Air Fraser, described as a fine gesture of assistance the decision of the Labour. Party conference to urge the Government to stabilise at present levelsthe prices of essential goods and services and also tho rates of wages.
