Stoho many years ago for the benefit of students entering the ministry in the Presbyterian Church. Mr Jones was a pupil of the Southland Hoys’ High School and later attended Victoria University College, where he graduated master of arts. He took over the Brooklyn charge of the Presbyterian Church in Wellington last year, and at the beginning of the present year enrolled at the Theological Hall. At the conclusion of the Otago athletic championship meeting at the Caledonian Ground on Saturday, members of the Otago Centre met to make a presentation to the Rev. D. J. B. Dorman. who is leaving shortly for.KuroW to take up an appointment as vicar of Waitaki. Jn presenting Air Dorman with a silver pencil, the president (Air C. W. Clarke) referred to the work done by Air Dorman as a delegate on the centre and as one of its field judges. Air Dorman briefly replied. Alessrs A. Gordon (Dominion president of the National Party) and Air D. M, APClurg (Dominion secretary) arrived in Dunedin this morning from the north, and to-night will attend a meeting of the committees of the party in Dunedin.
