Continuing the story of the remaining James brother, Frank, from the point where Jesse James was shot in the back m the film ‘ Jesse James,’ ‘ The Return of Frank James,’ is now running at the Octagon. Henry Fonda has the role of Frank James in this picture. It is legend, not history, that has made Jesse Janies the archtype of all American outlaws. Actually, this credit, if credit it is, should rightfully belong to Jesse’s elder brother Frank. ’ But, perhaps because his name was not so striking, perhaps because he died a peaceful death, Frank James has been relegated to second place in the annals of American outlawry. Frank James learned to ride and shoot in earnest at a very early age. And at the outbreak of the' Civil ‘War he was among the first volunteers to join the Missouri State Guards to fight for the Confederate cause.
