BRITISH AT LEMNOS
ISLAND A NAVAL AND AIR BASE REPORT FROM BELGRADE LONDON, February -1. The Belgrade correspondent of the British United Press reports that British forces are reported to have landed at Lemnos, converting the island into a fortified naval and air base. [Lemnos is one of the largest islands in the north of the iEgean Sea. It is situated about 40 miles west of the entrance to the Dardanelles, and was used as a base by New Zealanders in the last war.]
