RED CROSS NEWS
V.A.D. Room. Special thanks are extended to the many willing helpers who have assisted in the preparation of the V.A.D. practice room in Stuart street. The articles donated towards equipment have been much appreciated Guild Work. The past week has proved a busy one. An exceptionally large number of hospital garments was completed, ready for despatch. The refugee sewing continues, and it is pleasing to see so many new garments, in contrast with the second-hand clothing sent in last year. Acknowledgments. Donations have been received this week from the following:—The Clyde Women’s Patriotic Association, Airs A. E. A. M'Dougall, Airs H. Mitchell, Miss Hill-Jack, the First Church W omen’s Association, the St. Clair Women’s Club, Aliss Coates, Aliss Simon, Airs Connor, Airs W. H. Bacon, Airs Fairmaid, Aliss Brooks, Mrs E. Bowie (Lovell’s Flat), and the Stirling School children.
