FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21. (Before Mr H. J. Dixon, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. William John Carr was sentenced to seven days’ imprisonment. Gustavo Johnson, a statutory first offender, was fined 10s, in default 24 hours’ imprisonment. LICENSING BREACH. Hector Rennie, for being unlawfully on licensed premises, was fined 10s and 10s costsMOTORING OFFENCES. Andrew Francis M'Elrea (Mr F. WM'Elrea) was convicted and ordered to pay costs (10s) for driving in a dangerous manner. John Arthur Bell, .for failing to procure a driver’s license, was fined £2 and costs. Aubrey Huston Clarke was fined 30s and costs for speeding. Howe Johns, similarly charged, was fined 20s and costs. John Henry Wixey, also for speeding, was fined £2 and costs. 'For failing to possess -warrants of fitness James Albert Curtis and Stanley Mulqueen were each fined 10s and costs. John Frew, for failing to have a vehicle authority, was convicted, and for a breach of a goods service license he was fined £2 and costs. James Lawson Grainger was fined 10s and costs for having no heavy traffic license. For failing to dip his headlights Victor Stanley Connollv was fined 20s and costs, and for failing to procure a driver’s license 10s and costs. Ronald George Henderson Mitchell, for having no rear light to his vehicle, was fined os, and for not having a warrant of fitness he was fined 10s and costs. Raymond Vernal, for riding a push cycle without a light, for allowing himself to be towed by a motor cycle, and for giving a false name and address was fined ss, ss. and 10s respectively on each count, with costs. Hector Sydney Guilford Turner pleaded not guilty to a charge of dangerous driving on a motor cycle at the crest of Lookout Point. After hearing evidence defendant was convicted and ordered to pay costs (10s).
