British Air Force headquarters in Greece states: “ The heaviest and most successful attack of the campaign in Albania was carried out on the night of February 12-13 and yesterday by the IR.A.F. Heavy bombers attacked aerodromes at Tirana and Durazzo in a night raid. Hangars and aerodrome buildings were hit and four twin-en-gined Italian bombers wore destroyed on the ground at Tirana. Yesterday concentrated and repeated attacks were made on Tepelini, on military concentrations around Bnzi. and in support of the Greek forces. At Tepelini direct hits were obtained on military buildings in the town and a number of fires were started. Bombs were dropped on a military camp north-west of Buzi. Havoc was also caused to a military concentration south of Buzi. fires being started among huts and buildings. Enemy fighters attempting to intercept the British formations were shot down in flames. El Basan was also raided and troop concentrations and buildings successfully attacked.” An Athens night communique states: “After a successful offensive the enemy was driven from fortified positions. Eour hundred prisoners were taken. Our aircraft successfully bombed the battlefront.”
