BRUCE.—On December 27, 1940 (suddenly), at his residence, Edinburgh street. Green Island, William Horne, second son of the late David and Marion Bruce, and dearly loved brother of Jessie Bruce, Mrs A. H. Sfflellie, and Mrs J. BURNS.—On December 26, 1940 (suddenly), at Cromwell, Alexander, beloved husband of Gladys Burns, E 36 Leith street, and loved son of Mrs Cottle (96 Harbour Terrace) and the late John Burns (Dunedin).
