MRS WILLIAMS WINS THE SINGLES The section play in the Otago Ladies’ Bowling Association’s annual singles tournament, which was commenced on Tuesday, was brought to a conclusion yesterday afternoon in brilliant sunshine. In the final, which was won by Mrs Williams, Dunedin Club, from Mrs Colorabus, West Harbour, who, incidentally, is the president of the centre, the first nine heads were won by Mrs Colombus by 12 points to 2. In the next three heads Mrs Williams brought her score up to 6. On the thirteenth head Mrs Colombus scored 1, making her total 13, and on the next two Mrs Williams scored 3 and 2, which gave her 11 points. Scores of 1 and- 3 on the two following heads took the score to 17-11 in Mrs Colombus’s favour, with four heads to play. Mrs Williams scored on each of these, however, to run out a winner by 19 points to 17.
