SOUTH OTAGO NOTES
[From Odb Correspondent] OBITUARY. There passed away at Balclutha on Tuesday morning an old and highly respected resident of the town in the pcrsoVi of Miss Eebecca Grant, at. the age of 75 years. She was the eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs C. Grant, who for many years conducted the Coffee Palace at Balclutha. She was born at Warepa and educated at the Balclutha D.H.S. She took a great interest in church affairs and held the position of organist in the Methodist Church and later in the Anglican Church for many years. Patriotic affairs' also claimed her attention, and in recognition of her services during the Great War she was elected an honorary member of the Clutha R.S.A. She was for many years a member of the Ladies’ Golf Club, and also of the Balclutha Women’s Institute and Horticultural Society. She is survived by her two sisters, Miss Clara Grant (Balclutha), and Mrs Geo. Clark (Dunedin). LAWN TENNIS. Stirling v. High School (Stirling names first). —Men’s singles; M’Kinley v.
