MUSSELBURGH SCHOOL COMMITTEE
The monthly meeting of the Musselburgh Committee was held on Tuesday night and presided over by the chairman (Mr W. M. Caddie). As a mark of respect to the memory of the late head master, the members observed the customary gesture, standing a few moments in silence. The acting head master submitted the usual monthly report, which disclosed a very satisfactory attendance of scholars. The Red Cross appeal had now reached the satisfactory total of £l9.
Mr John M'Lcod, of Runanga, has been appointed to the position of head master of the school.
A letter congratulating the St. Clair School on its fine attainment in again winning the primary schools sports championship had been forwarded.
The annual break-up ceremony this year will take place on Thursday, December 19; infants at 10.30 a.m., Standards 1., 11., 111. at 2 o’clock (those two functions taking place at the school), while that of the seniors will take .place at the St. Kilda Coronation Hall on the same evening at 7.30.
