“ Straight Hitler.”—The Pope, who has expressed repeatedly his detestation of Hitlerism, did not bless the Italian arms. Presumably he blessed men, caught in a snarl, who believed that their cause was good. The report is too brief, and, on the face of it, too harmless, to be a fitting subject for controversy.
