ARRIVAL TO-MGRROW CITIZENS’ FAREWELL ON TUESDAY NIGHT The full programme for the farewell visit to Dunedin of their Excellencies the Governor-General, Viscount Galway, and Lady Galway, has been arranged. Their Excellencies will arrive here to-morrow, and will leave again on Wednesday morning. The list of engagements is as follows; —Sunday, November 3. Their Excellencies to arrive by motor from the north, and to attend service at St. Paul’s Cathedral in the evening. —Monday, November 4. 11 a.m.—Their Excellencies to visit the Early Settlers’ Museum. 1.15 p.m.—Lady Galway to lunch at the Otago Women’s Chib, Moray Place, as the guest of the Club Committee. 3 p.m.—Their Excellencies to visit the Maori section of the Otago Museum. Evening.—Free. —Tuesday, November 5. 11 a.m.—His Excellency to meet the Otago Provincial Patriotic Council at the Town Hall. 11 a.m.—Lady Galway to meet the Lady Galway Guild at the Town Hall; thereafter inspect Guild rooms at Town Hall, and partake of morning tea with the committee. Afternoon. —Motor drive for Their Excellencies to Otago Peninsula, with afternoon tea at Larnach Castle. 7.30 p.m.—Visit to Sea Cadets _at their quarters, old Post Office, Dowling street. (Function under the auspices of the Navy League’) 7.50 p.m.—lnspection of Guard of Honour by Excellency. Guard to be drawn up in the Octagon, facing Municipal Chambers. 8 p.m.—Citizens’ farewell gathering in the Concert Chamber, Town Hall. CITIZENS’ FAREWELL. The mayor (Mr A. H. Allen) invites citizens to attend the civic farewell to Their Excellencies in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall at 8 o’clock on Tuesday night. The proceedings will be varied with musical and vocal items. The guard of honour, which will be provided for the farewell function by the Headquarters Company, 4th Battalion National Military Reserve, will be under the command of Captain A. J. Lennox. It will assemble at the Market Reserve and proceed to the Town Hall, via Princes street, at 7.35, and will be in front of the Town Hall in the Octagon at 7.50. The band of the 3rd Field Regiment, New Zealand Artillery, will be in attendance.
