'HITLER-BEAST OF BERLIN'
LIFE UNDER HEEL OF NAZIS 1 Hitler—The Beast of Berlin,’ one of the most sensational and -widely discussed motion pictures ever produced, has been passed by the censor for New Zealand exhibition. Described as a I’rauk, fearless, dramatic expose of the fiendish methods of the brutal Gestapo to enforce Hitlerism upon those who still dare to cherish the love of Christianity, peace, and good-will among men,
' Hitler—Beast of Berlin ’ created somewhat of a sensation in America, where it was first released. Huge audiences thronged the theatres screening the film and loud hisses and jeers greeted the appearances of Hitler on the screen. And as- America is a neutral country it is certain that the picture will make an even greater impression upon New Zealand audiences. It will open at the Empire to-morrow. In America, too, the State censors in many instances ordered the alteration of the title to ‘Beasts of Berlin,’ in addition to forbidding the exhibition of certain of the most brutal scenes. But in New Zealand ‘ Hitler —Beast of Berlin ’ will he released in its entirety. Uneensored so that audiences may see with their own eyes the hcll-ou-carth conditions of existence
under German dictatorship—conditions that Hitler, Goering, Goebbels, and other “ Beasts of Berlin ” plan to inflict upon other countries in their efforts to redraw the map of the worldwith swords dipped in the life-blood of innocent people. For the picture is based on actual fact, and you will marvel that such things as those committed in the name of Hitler could be possible in this advanced age of civilisation, and the film \vill strengthen tho resolve that Hitlerism and all that it stands for must be crushed for ever.
