A Baptist minister has sued official! of the University of California in an effort to force the ■ ejection of Earl Bertrand Russell. [A message received on March 31 stated: Declaring that the College Board was attempting to establish a. Chair of Indecency, Mr Justice M'Gee.han. in the Supreme Court, voided tha appointment of Earl Bertrand Russell to the Chair of Mathematics at the City College of New York. “ The appointment is an insult to the people of this city,” he added, and upheld a taxpayer’s charge that Russell a teachings tended to corrupt the students as “ his writings prciyed him salacious, immoral, aphrodisiac, libidinous, lecherous.”]
