HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIP SHIELD
NO INTERPROVINCIAL MATCHES THIS SEASON [Per United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, May 1. Intcrprovhicial matches for the New Zealand championship shield and Nordon Cup will not be played this season, according to a decision reached at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Hockey Association. The association decided also to_ express its wish that all other competition matches should be held. The election of the principal officers resulted: Patron, the Governor-General; president, Mr H. S. J. Goodman; secretary, Mr \V. H. Down; Management Committee—Messrs R. Gvacie, H. Throp, C. S. Bellamy, A. Stonyer, 0. C. Holland, K. Hamilton, and W. Williamson.
