FLOOD PROTECTION SCHEME AT THE GLEN. —Work has been started making a wider channel to carry away the water in the stream which flows into the foot of the Glen. A concrete basin is also to be constructed to catch 'boulders and debris coming down in the event of excessive rain-and thus allow the water to get away unobstructed.
