LADIES’ BOWLING

START OF PAIRS TOURNAMENT FINALS OF RINKS ON FRIDAY The annual fours tournament of the Otago Ladies’ Bowling Association was continued yesterday afternoon, when nine fours took part in the draw for post-section play, which was advanced to the semi-final stage. Mrs Whale(Mornington) and Mrs Stubbs (CaverSham) both maintained their unbeaten record by winning from the rinks led by Mrs M'Donald (Green Island) and Mrs Jackson (Kaikorai). The finals and semi-finals will be' played on Friday. This morning saw the start of play in the pairs tournament, and the first two rounds were concluded before lunch. The weather still leaves much to be desired, but the greens are playing well and the tournament is otherwise proving most successful. Results are as follows:
