SPECIAL COMMUNITY SING
AID FOR FINNISH CHILDREN On Friday, at noon, in the Strand Theatre (by courtesy Fuller Theatre Corporation Ltd.), a special community sing will be held in co-oocration with the Dunedin Centre of Rod Cross in order to raise funds for the aid of Finnish children and to buy them warm clothing. Bed Cross nurses in uniform will be taking part. Mr Archie Jones, always a. welcome singer, will assist. Mr.H. P. Desmoulins will be the leader, with Mr A. Pettitt at the piano. A good programme is being arranged, and will include the popular ‘South of the Border,!, ‘ You’re the Only Star in My Blue Heaven.’ and ‘ I Paid for the Lie I Told You.’ .Mr J. F. Himburg, the secretary, would be pleased to receiye donations and “ cheerios.” which will be acknowledged over the air. All money, received will be handed over to the Bed Cross.
