—Ministerial.— The mayor. (Mr A. H. Allen) has been advised by the Minister of Public Works (Hon. R. SempleV that he will arrive in Dunedin on Friday night, leaving again the following morning and returning hero on Monday. Ha leaves for the north on Wednesday next. Mr J Sutherland Ross left this morning for Wellington. Sir Lindo Ferguson and Dr W. New. lands left by the_ 11.35 express this, morning for Wellington to attend a meeting of the New Zealand Medical Council. Captain , Coll M‘Donald left this ihormng for Wellington. Mr G. In recognition of his services to th# Wakari-Kaikorai Improvement Society; since its inception, Mr W. S. Cubitt was elected a life member of the society at its annual meeting last night.
