It was reported that permission had been received in January to go on ■with the alterations at, the KclseyYaralla Kindergarten. As the contracstor could not complete these before last Tuesday, it had been necessary to postpone the opening of this kindergarten until next Monday. All the other kindergartens had been reopened last Tuesday with good attendances and rapidly-tilling registers. At the I?. S. 1 eyuolds Kindergarten there were i >w 60 children on the roll and 30 names on the waiting list. The committee reported that a good deal of wanton destruction had been done at two of the kindergartens, broken tiles, broken windows, a broken sun dial. and uprooted trees • being found when the staff returned to duty. The council would be grateful for anv information from the public that might lead to the suppression of such thoughtless actions.
