OTAGO MOUNTED RIFLES CAMP
AN APPEAL TO EMPLOYERS This year the annual camp of the Otago Mounted Rifles will he held at Sutton from March 8 to 18; and in view of the need for trained men, Major O. L. Ferens, E.D., J.P., officer commanding the Otago Mounted Rifles, makes an appeal to ail employers of members of this regiment to grant the necessary leave. ,An endeavour is being made to have member of the Otago Mounted Rifles in camp this year, and employers concerned will render a service to their country by granting all requests for leave. The authorities point _ out that in these critical day’s territorial units must be kept up to full strength and be fully trained for any emergency that # may. arise. The camp site at Sutton is an ideal one for mounted training, as the country enables the full movement of horses in tactical training. The amenities of the camp are very good, and those who attend this year will And very little reason for complaint in any direction.
