STRAND

The rousing action in ‘ Git Along, Little Logies,’ which commenced at the Strand this afternoon, shows Gene Autry falsely branded as a ‘‘doublccrosser.” There is a thrilling climax which vindicates Gene and provides a fitting finale to a lightning-paced film. Judith Allen appears opposite Autry in ‘ Git Along, Little Hogies.’ Stella performers m. tho supporting cast include Waldon Hayburn Burnette, the Maple City Four, 1 G. Raymond Nye, William F.arnum, Willie Fung, and Will and Gladys Ahearn, the vaudeville favourites. Joe Kane directed, and Armand Schaefer was associate producer. The supporting picture, ‘ Stepping Toes,’ introduces a new child star from England. She is Hazel Ascot, a pretty little tap-dancer. The story tells of Bob Burnham (Wilson Coleman), 70-year-old owner of Burnham’s Fair, whose only daughter, Cecily (Enid Stamp Taylor) broke with tradition to leave the fair and marry a successful barrister. Hazel Warrington (Hazel Ascot), in ignorance of her romantic origin, and despite her mother’s disapproval, spends most of her time dancing, and eventually her parents, deciding that their child was born to dance, become reconciled with the idea, and reunite with Bob Burnham. They eventually finance a show produced by Bob, in which Hazel proves a smashing success and worthy to carry on the Burnham stage tradition.
