DONOR'S £IO.OOO CHEQUE HANDED TO PATRIOTIC FUND BOARD [Pub United Press Association.} WELLINGTON, January 23. The National Council of the Y.M.O.A. to-day handed to the National Patriotic Fund Board Mr T. H. Lowry’s cheque for £IO,OOO to -establish and maintain the Lowry Hut at the base camp of the New Zealand soldiers overseas. The cheque was signed by Viscount Galway as chairman of tho Patrxotio Board, and the Hon. M. Fagan, deputychairman. indicating that the National Patriotic Fund Board is desirous of administrating its funds so that tn« donor’s wishes are complied With.
