FAVOURABLE CONDITIONS
STATE OF BEACHES WARMER TEMPERATURE Favourable conditions prevailed today for surf batting on the local beaches, and, with much warmer temperatures of water, many more bathers may be expected on the beaches over: the week-end. One of the most popular beaches this summer is Brighton. The clean sand, and the fact that the water is almost like a sheet of glass, should attract many visitors over the week-end. Smooth seas also prevail at Tomahawk; the beach is in good order and the water mild. Improved conditions have been experienced at St. Kilda, where the water] is warm. At St. Clair the beach is gradually; building up again, and the channel 1 is disappearing. There ia still a slight rip running out to Sea towards St. Kilda in front of the bathing pavilion, and bathers are urged to keep between the flags.
