OPEN AIR VARIETY CONCERT
ST. HILDA BEACH ROTUNDA At tho St. Kilda Beach rotunda tomorrow evening another open-air variety concert will be presented by the St. Kilda Municipal Baud and asissting artists. The concert will commence at 8.5. Dick Colvin’s radio dance hand will supply items, and Mr Dennis Sheard, radio entertainer, will feature vocal items. The items to be presented by the band include marches ‘Hercules’ (by Rimmer) and ‘ Gippslaud ’ (by Lithgow), and the waltz by Alford, ‘ Thoughts.’ Hymns and Christmas carols appropriate to the occasion are also included, while the highlights of tho bandl section of the programme are tho stirring ‘ Hallelujah Chorus ’ from the ‘ Messiah,’ by Handel, and the second test selection for tho Wellington contest, ‘ Beethoven’s Works,’ arranged by Rimmer. This is the last concert ■arranged for 1939, but further entertainments will be presented during tho summer months.
