Radiant Health Club. The Radiant Health Club held its closing social afternoon on Monday, a luge number being present. The president (Mrs G. Brooks) presided. Greetings from the Wellington Club and Australia were read and reciprocated. The guests for the afternoon were Miss Olive Mercer, Miss Townsend, Mi«a King, and Mrs Cooper, each giving helpful thoughts. Miss Townsend spoke of the good work done by the president, who, she said, had vision, and in consequence got things done. Mrs Cooper gave as » thought, “ It takes energy to fail.” Miss Olive Mercer sketched ideals for » better world, and quoted Professor Hooper, Miss King spoke of opportunities, which give all a chance to strive for greater ' things. Miss Thorton and Mrs Page contributed musical items. During afternoon tea Mrs Page presented Mrs Brooks with a gift as a token of members’ love and esteem, and in appreciation of services so willingly given, Miss Johnson accompanying this with a beautiful spray of flowers. A wholemeal Christmas cake, the gift of Mrs Meffan, was cut by Mrs Page and handed round. The president extended greetings to- all and. looked forward to meeting again next year. T|fl« dub reopens in February _ 'and starts the eleventh year of its activity. -The following officers were elected: President, Mrs G. Brooks: vice-presidents, Mrs Binnie and Mrs Page; secretarytreasurer, Miss M, Johnson; committee —Mrs Parker, Mrs Matheson, Mrs Keaeh, Mrs Baker; National Council of Women Mrs G. Brooks,' The year closed with a good balance and very favourable report.
