A large section of the Press it severely critical of the New South Wales Government’s attitude in barring German-born immigrant doctors front practising here. _ , " The ‘ Sydney Morning Herald,’ in au editorial, declares: “ The British Medical Association - has done the _ medical profession a grave disservice by its overzealous attempt to conserve its sectional interests. There is a touch of Pecksniffery in an attitude which hebars German-born refugee doctors from practising here because of the war. These refugees are fleeing from the very persecution which the country is fighting to overthrow.” The editorial urges the Cabinet to revoke its decision.
