FURTHER MEDICAL EXAMINATION
ALL MEMBERS SPECIAL FORCE X-RAY m BLOOD TYPE TESTS [Pee United Psess Association.] / AUCKLAND, December 8. A further medical examination of all the men in the special force will shortly be carried out in the form of X-ray tests to make absolutely sure that the men are physically capable of standing up to warfare conditions. The Army doctors will also carry out blood tests amongst the soldiers, and every man will have his blood type stamped on his identity, disc. Thus, if blood transfusion is required a doctor can see at once to which blood type he belongs, and a donor of the right type can be summoned without delay. Modern medicine also allows blood to be collected and stored in the different type groups.
