THE CENTENNIAL SCHEME At an emergency meeting ot the committee of the New Zealand Guide Centennial Camp, which was held recently in Wellington, it was unanimously agreed that in view of the present state of national emergency the camp should be primarily a training camp for young Gamers, Rangers, and older Guides rather than a holiday camp for Guides. Also those attending camp must, be 16 years or over, and have had at least a week’s previous experience under canvas in a Guide camp. The most that can be accepted for this training camp is 120. The camp will be run in four groups of approximately 30. It is proposed to hold special training sessions in motor repair work, tuition generously being given by the Automobile Association, as well as tha usual Guide cooking, hygiene and sanitation, and instruction in physical fitness. The cami) will be staffed entirely by licensed Guide campers, and will be run in the same manner as any other Guide camp.
