TOUJOURS LA POLITESSE
A member of the police reserve, on duty for the first time, roused a London household on Sunday night to point out an inadequately darkened window. This was remedied. Politely he took his leave, apologising for having h-ad to draw the householder’s attention to the matter. With equal politeness, the householder remarked that he, too, had something't'o point out.
