BAETON-BROWNE.—On August 24, 1939, at Dunedin, Manio Ann BartonBrowne, of 14 Duncan street, beloved mother of Gilbert Barton-Browne, of 35 Ramsay street. North-east Valley; aged 68 years. R.I.P. Requiem Mass at St. Joseph’s Cathedral on Saturday, the 26th inst., at 9 a.m. Private interment. No flowers (by request).—Hugh Gourley Ltd., funeral directors.
COPE. —On August 12th (suddenly), at his resident, Ormond, Victoria, Henry, late of Dunedin, loving brother of A. J. Cope; aged 69 years. COUSINS. —On August 24th, 1939, at her residence, 245 Bay View road, Jean, dearly beloved wife of the late Samuel Cousins; aged 81 years. Deeply mourned. —The Funeral will leave the residence on Saturday, the 26th inst,, at 10.30 a.m., for the Anderson’s Bay Cemetery.—Hope and Kinaston, funeral directors.

PEATTIE.—On August 251 h, 1939, at Dunedin, Alice Robertine, dearly loved wife of Hedley Peattie, 46 Queen’s Drive, Musselburgh, and dearly loved only daughter of Alice and the late Silas Spragg; in her 58th year.—The Funeral will leave the residence, 46 Queen’s Drive, Musselburgh, on Sunday, the 27th inst., at 1.30 p.m., arriving at the Fairfax Cemetery, Milton, at 5 p.m.—Hope and Kinaston, funeral directors.
