GREEN ISLAND
Joe Krozac (Edward G. Robinson) is an American public enemy in ‘The Last Gangster,’ coming to , the Green Island Theatre to-morrow. He has returned from Europe, bringing with him a bride (Rose Stradnor) whom he sought and married for the express purpose of becoming the father of a sou. He finds, when he returns to America, that rival gangs have demoralised his Jeaderless outfit during his a bsence. Quickly assuming charge again, he orders the most troublesome of his competitor gangs wiped out and left on a police pistol range. One of the gang, bullet-riddled, miraculously survives. Krozac can get away with murder, and he proves it after the surviving gangster futilely accuses him. Then the story of his fall begins, and events move more swiftly to a gripping climax.
