NON-PAYMENT TAXES—DECLARED BANKRUPT. On behalf of the Commissioner of

Taxes, an application was made in the Supreme Court, Auckland, that Edward Valentine Owen, company manager, of Howick, be adjudicated a bankrupt for non-payment of taxes, There was no appearance of the judgment debtor and Mr Justice Fair made an order accordingly.—Press Association.
