OLGA COELHO
BRAZILIAN SOPRANO Madame Olga Coelho, the Brazilian soporano and guitarist, who will make her Australian and New Zealand premiere in the Concert Chamber, Dunedin, on Saturday, September 2, is said to he one of the few; singers who can claim almost diplomatic rank. She travels on a diplomatic passport, and holds a special decree given_her by the Government of Brazil, making her the official work propaneandist for Brazilian folklore and music. During her recent London season. Madame Coelbo had the d'stinction of appearing before Queen Mary at the Brazilian Embassy, and it was shortly after that performance that she was the featured artist, on three occasions, of Empire broadcasts from the British Broadcasting Corporation.
