TO-MORROW’S COMMUNITY SING
The weekly community sing will be held at the Strand Theatre to-morrow. Potty-officer Davis, of H.AI.S. Leander, will be heard in banjo and whistling solos. Air Davis will be remembered from the time when the H.AI.S. Leander was in Dunedin, as he was conductor of the harmonica band. He is paying a visit to this city, and has offered to assist. A supporter of the sing has presented a well-bred male Alsatiau-Labrador pup, six months old. It will be offered for sale. Mr H. P. Desmoulins will be the leader, with Air A. Pettitt at the piano. Another programme of the most popular and new song hits will be sung. On Monday, in the Alain Town Hall, the annual children’s sing will be held, with Big Brother Bill as loader. The committee would prefer parents to send their children to Alonday’s sing and not to to-morrow’s. Flowers and goods are required for the stall. The proceeds are for the mayor’s relief of distress fund.
