NURSES’ PARTY-DANCE FOR HOSPITAL CHAPEL FUND
Members of the Hospital Group Nprses’ Christian Union held a delightful party-dance in Wilson Hall on Monday last for the purpose of opening a public subscription list with a view to erecting a chapel for the use of the patients and staff of the Public Hospital. The hall was gaily decorated with greenery, pot plants, and balloons, and some 50 couples entered into the spirit of the evening. Much-appreciated solos were rendered by Misses W. Haskins and E. Robson. The lucky spot waltz was won by Miss Joan White and Mr John Mandeno. The president of the association, Miss Jessie Frater (wearing blue chiffon with sequins), received those present, of which the honoured guests were Mrs J. Wood, Mrs Roberts, Dir and Mrs J.
