—Ministerial.— Excellent progress following his recent operation voutinucs to be made by the Prime Minister (Mr Savage), and it is probable that he will leave Lewisham Hospital on Saturday tor liis home in, Northland. Mr Savage entered hospital on August 3, and underwent a severe abdominal operation next day. He is able to receive a limited number of visitors each day. Mr A. P. O’Shea (Dominion secretary of the New Zealand Farmers’' Union) arrived here yesterday. Mr H. Coxhead, organising manager of the Group Travel Association of New Zealand (Incorporated), is on a visit to Dunedin. Mr A. L. Burk, commissioner of the Borough of Thames, who has been on a business visit to Gore, will arrive in Dunedin this evening. Staying at the Grand Hotel are Mrs E. Manners (Loudon), Miss I. Parkinson (Matamata), Mr W. H. Hill (Wellington). Mr V. J. M'Kibbou, Mr W. S, M'Kibbon (Christchurch), Mrs C. B. Booth (Oamaru). Guests at the City Hotel include Mr L. G. Gillett (Auckland), Mr and Mrs H. Lindsay (Wellington), Mr N, Peters (Christchurch). On the register at Wain’s Hotel are Mr A. N. Franklin, Mr W. M. Wilson'(Auckland), Miss A. E. Anderson (Wellington), Mr G. A. Mills (Nelson), Mr G. Ferguson (Christchurch), Mr H.Coxhead (Timaru), Mrs J. Burnetii (Queenstown). Latest arrivals at the Carlton Hotel include Mr G. Anderson, Mr and Mrs G. W. Drake (Auckland), Mr C. Findlay (Napier), Mr G. Wild (Wellington), Miss G. M'Dowell, Miss E. Devereux, Mr and Mrs A. M. Hatch, Mr A, L. Taylor (Christchurch), Mr D. W. Anderson, Mr J. Danskin (Invercargill).
