(Received August 22, at 8 a.m.) Sir Robert and Lady Craigie have left the city for the summer Embassy quarters at Lake Chuzenji, indicating that resumption of the Anglo-Japanesa talks is not expected for some time. NEGOTIATIONS NOT ENDED JAPANESE STATEMENT. TOKIO, August 21. The Foreign Office Spokesman said! there was nothing in either the British or the Japanese statements which said that the negotiations had ended. He denied the British assertion that the Japanese requested the removal of silver reserves from Peking, but said he could not guarantee the future. THE NIHE'POWER TREATY JAPAN CONSIDERING DENUNCIATION. TOKIO, August 21. (Received August 22, at 11 a.m.) The ‘ Asahi Shimbun ’ says Japan is considering denouncing the NinePower Treaty. Cabinet meets on August 22. and is expected finally to decide its European policy.
