FRIDAY'S COMMUNITY SING
Petty-officer Davies, of H.AI.S. Leander, will entertain listeners-in and those attending the community sing in the Strand Theatre on Friday. Mr Davies has appeared at the sing before, his banjo ana whistling numbers proving very popular. He is on holiday, and has offered to assist once more.' Mr H. P. Desmoulins will be the leader and Air A. Pettitt will be at the piano. A programme of popular songs will be sung. The committee has received an Alsation - Labrador well - bred male puppy, six months old. WeW-footed and ideal for hunting, the dog will be sold on Friday. On Monday the annual children’s sing will he held in the Town Hal!, and Big Brother Bill will be the leader. Proceeds are for the mayor’s relief of distress fund. Cheerios should be sent to the secretary (Air J. F. Himburg).
